Sketching Sunday – a small piece of 100-day project.

Noodling around on a Sunday afternoon, with one of Bill’s bird photographs. This is the undercarriage of a sandhill crane, standing on one foot.

All I really wanted to draw was the claw and standing leg. But I had to include a few feathers in this graphite sketch.

One of six children, I was raised by a busy mom, who instilled in me a love of fabric. Though I learned to sew and knit at a young age, it was the arrival of my first grandchild that pushed me into action. A long-time knitter, I am now ready to explore all things fiber.
